Stary Browar [Old Brewery]

The Poznań Stary Browar [Old Brewery] is more than only a shopping centre. Although, you can do shopping in over 200 stores, go to the cinema or eat well, there are much more attractions waiting for the visitors.
First, it is worth highlighting the unusual architecture. Although, the building is a work of contemporary designers (a dramatic state of the old building did not allow it to preserve), through the style, it refers to the 19th century industrial building. No wonder that in 2012 the readers of the National Geographic Traveller unanimously acclaimed Stary Browar the greater structure in the Seven Wonders of Poland Contest.
The interiors also contain several surprises. Beside a commercial and service space there is an art gallery. Walking between the stores the visitors can admire works of contemporary artists, including the monumental sculpture by Igor Mitoraj, entitled “Thsuki-no-hikari” (“Moonlight”) and presenting a fragment of a human face.
The place can be reached within 11 minutes from the underground car park under Wolności Square.
