Empik w Arkadii [Empik in Arkadia]
Today, very few Poznań residents know that legendary musicians Franz Liszt and Niccolo Paganini gave concerts in the representative space of one of the most recognised Empik shops in Poznań.
The building named Arkadia, erected in 1802-1804, today, known first of all for a wide offer of literature, music and film publications, was originally designed as the seat of the Poznań municipal theatre. Rummaging among new publications or selecting souvenirs from Poznań it is nice to be aware that we are surrounded by walls steeped in over 200-year history.
The harmonic architecture by David Gilly can be easily noticed at once after leaving the underground car park.
